SUNDAY SCRIPTURES - THE POWER OF PRAYER

Pray alone. Pray in a group. There is power in prayer.  We pray for all sorts of things; everyone prays for what is important to them.  We pray that our prayers are answered.  We have to accept the Lord's decision and we have to wait on the Lord in His time.

I have put together a very small collection of what is available by the talented artisans of Etsy that can aid in your prayer.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

Sue, thank you for sharing. While I was in the ER last night Pastor came and co-incedentely we were talking about the power of Prayer, praying alone, finding a spot, etc.
When I do pray I find it very comforting to do it in a quiet place. How can you hear God talking to you, if not in a quiet place.

My husband has his daily prayer time in his car, because he has a long commute. It's a great idea. But the best thing is, God is always quiet, so he hears every single prayer!

Thanks for the verses. The title of today's sermon at church was something like "Speak, O Lord, your servant is listening."

My Pastor said this Sunday the more you sweat in preparation the less you bleed in battle, I imagine the sweating happens as we pray thru. Thanks for including my Hymnal cross!
