Introduction
I first started making things in 2007 after being laid off from a job I decided to start my own business and that's how A.I.A. Inspired Designs came to be. A.I.A. stands for Angela, Isaiah, and Aaron (those are my 2 sons).
I was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship (God is good) to help me with tuition this fall. I'm going to get my Master's in Creative Writing because my ultimate goal is be a full-time writer.
I self-published a book last year called Rituals of Season, it's about my experience with domestic violence.
How did you get your start on Etsy?
I started on etsy after selling some things at a fair at my childrens' old school. One of the sellers there gave me her card and when I got home I checked out etsy. I saw that it was much less expensive to sell on etsy than it would be to open my own website.
Though my business has not been as successful as I would like, I know one day it will be. I work full time as a contractor for the US Army.
What does a typical day look like for you?
My typical day Monday through Friday is: I get my children ready for summer camp. I go to work, then pick up my son from daycare, help him with his homework, fix dinner, go to bed!
What is your favorite Etsy item listing to feature?
My book and the Miesha Bell cell phone holder are two of my favorite items on etsy.
If you could be anywhere in the world for one day, where would it be?
If I could fly anywhere in the world tonight I would go to one of those beautiful islands with the white beaches and the clear water.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
