Imagine with me..........
a world without color.
What if, God had chosen to leave out the portion of
our eyes and brains that translate the light we see into color?

In the grand scope of what God did in creating us it would have been a matter of just leaving out one process.  Just one electrical impulse between the eye and the brain but what a difference that would make.
I am so glad He chose to create us with the ability to see color.

Artists such as those found here on Etsy use color every day
to make a statement,
to please the eye,
to express emotion.

Life with color is good!

Thank you, Father, for blessing us with this gift.
Help us to appreciate and enjoy it
today and every day.

I love the blessing of not only being able to see, but that God created in us the ability to see the world through a lense of color. When I look at my garden I sense God's fingerprint there and color is one of the reasons.

I met an elderly man this weekend who has been blind from birth. He was trying to figure out buttons on a vending machine that was non-braille. He asked me to tell him what the buttons were, and one of them happened to be a star (aesterik). He asked me what an aesterik was, and I was at a loss at how to explain it. The only things I could think of were visual references, but they would have no meaning to him.
Your post is particularly relevant to me after this encounter, and we do indeed take things for granted.
Thamk You God, for your eternal lo

Thoughtful message. My grandmother is blind and when I was a girl my older brother once played a game where he tied a blindfold over my eyes and gave me a stick then I was supposed to find my way around the house. It was incredible how hard it was, how much things changed when I could not use my sight. It gave me a small glimpse into my grandmother's life. I will never forget that.
