Tell us a little bit about yourself...
I am the wife of the most supportive husband, mom to two boys (12 & 6) and a girl (10), and most importantly- a child of God.
I have a bachelors degree in interior design.
I am always trying something new in the worlds of sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, painting, jewelry-making, quilting, etc…
I always have several projects going at once.
I love making and giving gifts.
I hate housekeeping.
I am continually inspired by God’s creation!

How did you get your start on Etsy?
It was not long after I was introduced to ETSY (as a customer) that I knew it would be a great platform for me to create.  I was nervous at first… I wasn’t sure how I would be received.  But moments after I listed my first item, someone favorited it!  That was such a boost and a thrill.  My first sale was within 2 weeks. There are still times of low sales for sure and I am still trying to figure out my “identity” as a creator/craftsman/artist… it is all a growth process.

How did you choose your shop name?
I went through several options on paper and in my head before I made a decision.  I settled on Everyday Art Design Studio.  I think that “art” can be viewed by the general public as a thing that can only be experienced during a stuffy visit to a hushed fine art museum.  But, I feel that art can and should be experienced in our everyday lives.  Art is that “thing” that is crafted and made (whether skillfully or not) with your hands that expresses who you are, how you feel, what you are passionate about.

What does a typical day look like for you?
Breakfast, kids to school, breathe, life, lunch, create, pick kids up, life, eat, kids to bed, remember that I have a wonderful husband, sleep, wash, rinse, repeat…
Scarf crafted from Vintage Crocheted "Doilies"

If you could be anywhere in the world for one day, where would it be?
Can’t really just pick one… but if I must … Paris.  No, wait- the valley in Switzerland where my husband and I had lunch 3 years ago.  Or maybe- Hawaii, haven’t been there, yet…

What is your favorite Bible verse?
“What does the Lord ask of you, O man?  To act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8
