Scripture tells us that our future is our children.  We need to walk with the Lord and show them a good example.

Numbers 14:18
‘The LORD is slow to anger, abounding in love and forgiving sin and rebellion. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.’
Deuteronomy 5:29
Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!
Psalm 127:3
Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.
Proverbs 20:11
Even small children are known by their actions, so is their conduct really pure and upright?

 Proverbs 22:6
Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
 Proverbs 29:17
Discipline your children, and they will give you peace; they will bring you the delights you desire.

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

1 John 5:2
This is how we know that we love the children of God: by loving God and carrying out his commands.

3 John 1:4
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

Are we giving our children what they need?  God comes first~then everything else will follow.

thanks Sue! very good choices for scripture and items. I always worry with how to teach my girls about Jesus and I just need to remember to work on my relationship, they will see that more than anything I try to tell them.
