Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction

As many around the world celebrate Mother's day this coming Sunday, I thought I would share this verse from Proverbs. It reminds us that teaching from godly mothers (and fathers) is something to be listened to and respected. Such teaching is a wonderful thing and likened to a beautiful garland and an adorning chain. So as you browse this week's mother-related finds and perhaps celebrate mother's day with your family, take some time to thank God for the godly mother, mother-in-law or mother figure/mentor with whom he has provided you. For those of you who are in the "mother" position, perhaps you could pray for God's wisdom in nurturing those who are in your care. Happy Mother's day!
