Pears and Cosmos

Introduction:
I'm 71 years old and love life.  I consider it a wonderful blessing to be able to paint and create at this point in my years on this earth. I live in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I have 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.  My husband just retired. We have been married for 53 years.

It's a Wisteria Kind of Day

How did you get started on Etsy?

I got my start on etsy at  the urging of my art teacher, Cheri Wollenberg, ChatterBoxArt.

How did you choose your shop name?
I didn't choose my shop name, it chose me.  I sometimes do things and then read the instructions.  So after I thought I was choosing a user name it turned out that it was the shop name.  I think it's OK though.

What does a typical day look like for you?

A typical day for me starts with taking my grandaughter, Heather to school.  I go to art class on Tuesdays.  I do chores and then paint.  I have to set the timer in the afternoon so I won't get so involved in my painting that I forget to pick up Heather at school. I take  her to dance classes after school and church on Wednesdays.   Evenings are usually to relax and read or watch TV.   That's a day without unforseen problems.
Fruit and Pitcher Still Life

Where would you like to be for a day?

The Swiss Alps in the springtime.   I would stare at the mountains as long as I could.  Take as many pictures as I could and jump from ""Alp to Alp".  I have Never been to Switzerland but every picture I've seen makes me want to go.

What is your favorite bible verse?

Tulips in my Garden
My favorite Bible verse is: Romans 8;28:  And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to his purpose.

What is your favorite Etsy item listing to feature?

My favorite item to feature is "Tulips in my Garden".

Where can we find you on the Internet?

I'm on FaceBook as Carole Joan Tunnell Stone.

Thanks so much to Carole for sharing.  Please take a moment to visit her shopBe sure to return to this blog post to leave a comment about your favorite item for a chance to win the the original oil painting of "Pears and Cosmos".

AND . . . the winner of last week's give away, the beautiful tree of life braclet from Chari from ChariT's Inspiration Creations is Shari Ward from Butterfly Feet Shop.  I will contact both of you.

Your work is beautiful. Besides the tulip painting above, I also like the smaller watercolor tulips. But all your painting are spectacular!

Carole, you are one of the most deserving, talented people I know to be featured here. Your work is beautiful, but your life exceeds any praise I could give you. Your life is a reflection of the Greatest Creator of all. Thank you for being such a wonderful painter and friend.
