Introduction
I owe my life, physical and spiritual, to my Savior, Jesus. He walks with me and keeps me in the light.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Starts with scripture and coffee; no better way to start any day. Computer time is next; doing my work on Etsy, answering emails, researching the questions of the day, etc… Then it is off to do my chores for the home, garden and bed & breakfast work. After all this is taken care of I take time to create my pottery pieces. It brings me much joy and satisfaction to build with clay. Evening is family and friend time.
If you could be anywhere in the world for one day, where would it be?
I love the Pacific Northwest and would love to spend a day hiking there in the rain forest.
What is your favorite Bible verse?
How can I choose just one? Okay, one of my favorites is John 6:28 & 29: Then they said to Him, “What shall we do that we may do the works of God?”
What is your favorite Etsy item listing to feature?
My favorite right now is the Elfin Nightlight. It gives me happy feelings.
Where can we find you on the internet?
I do have a Facebook fan page; just type in ClaySoul in the search and you will find my page. Many of the pictures on my fan page are in process pictures along with past and present finished pieces. Often my plan for my pieces goes awry. Such is art.

Introduction
I owe my life, physical and spiritual, to my Savior, Jesus. He walks with me and keeps me in the light.
I love to garden and I love to create art for the garden. I now have more time to create because my three beautiful daughters have all moved out of the nest. My husband and I still live in the nest which is on an old farmstead in rural Kansas right next to Marion Reservoir. You’ve never heard of it? Incredible! There is lots of wildlife wandering around out here. As a matter of fact I just saw a covey of about 20 quails cross the backyard. We also get lots of deer which are beautiful but they eat my flowers!! We use an old house on the property that we fixed up as a bed & breakfast. We have been doing this for six years and we love it. Our website is www.northshore-guesthouse.com.
As a child I lived in the orient for about three years and fell in love with the natives and the architecture. That is the reason I create so many oriental pieces. I also adore fantasy and story book land and try and spend as much time there as I can. I don’t want reality in my pottery, I want whimsy.

How did you get your start on Etsy?
I was looking for an outlet for my pottery pieces and my friend told me about Etsy. I thought that I would give it a try and how much fun it has been! Etsy is so great; they give so much. A perfect friend for a starving artist.
How did you choose your shop name?
I started with ClayWorks; of course that was taken so I started playing with different endings and eventually ended up with Soul. Our skills and talents are gifts of the soul so it seems to make sense.

Lynn's work is so fantastic! I can't decide if I like her Blossoming Bavarian Toad House or her Lavender Lady Toad House more. I just love her creations!

What a cool shop!! And your gardens are gorgeous. Hard to pick a fave, but I do like The Elfin Castle Nightlight or Lantern. Great interview!

Lynn’s work is amazing! I think my absolute favorite would have to be “the Lighthearted Loo.” I’d buy it, but unfortunately my loo is more the size of a water closet, haha.
Keep up the wonderful artwork!

I love the fairy tale toad house, and the pastel palace toad house! Your bed and breakfast sounds delightful too!

My favorite is the light hearted loo, everything else is just as wonderful but my Arkansas roots lean toward the outhouse'

Lynn's work is so incredible. It makes it hard to choose a favorite. Neat to hear about her process. What a creative artist. I guess my favorite would be Lavender Lady Toad House. Keep on creating.

Just loved reading more about Lynn. Love all her work. I lived in South Korea for two years so the Asian touches especially.
I like the pastel palace. How long does it take to make one of these houses.
Lynn - you are so blessed to be able to create and actually live where you are. The beauty of the Lord is all around you.The people who get to visit your Bed and Breakfast are very blessed.
Your creations are so beautiful and it is difficult to choose a favorite. I love the Elfin Castle but the colors of the Lavendar Lady Toadhouse are exquisite.
So very glad to meet you.

What gorgeous work! It is hard to choose a favorite (I love the Fairy pieces), but I would have to say the "Your Basic Samurai Bird Feeder" http://www.etsy.com/listing/66436489/your-basic-samurai-bird-feeder
Would be my favorite. I love to feed the many birds at our house and I could see the many varieties fitting nicely and enjoying a good breakfast on it :)
Wow! Lovely work! I love the fairy pieces and I think that "Pippin the Toad House" is my favorite. I like the color combination. It really reminds me of the colors I saw together when I was in China 1.5 years ago. Thanks for sharing your giftings with us!

Oh Lynn, your creations are so cute - love them!
I love the whimsy in your work! Thanks so much for sharing your story!
Awesome, Lynn! I have to say that my favorite is the Bavarian Toad House. If I don't win, I'm just going to have to break down and buy one myself!
I love your work, Lynn!! It's so hard to pick a favorite, but I'm very partial to the toad houses.
