This one little tweak on your shop’s storefront will help Google and Etsy searchers to find you much easier. Increase your SEO and bring them right to your doorstep. Some of you have already optimized this step but, as I look around, I see many who have actually hidden their shops from view (inadvertantly), of course. Mainly because nobody tells you about this.

BTW, I learned about it in an Etsy lab.


Have a look at what you have entered in that little line under your shop name on the upper left of your storefront page. If you have entered your shop name in that spot, you probably are not helping searchers to find your shop, especially if your shop name doesn’t reveal what’s inside your shop.


In that spot, briefly, state what people will find in your shop.

Go to YOUR ACCOUNT and INFO and APPEARANCE and ABOUT YOUR SHOP and SHOP INFO and SHOP TITLE.....................this is where you’ll see that little box in which you can enter that vital info that Google and Etsy searchers need to discover your shop. They won’t find your shop by the shop name or your name because they don’t know you. But they know what they want. They may be looking for pearl earrings, or handmade greeting cards, or cup cozies. That’s what they’ll enter in the searches. If you have those important keywords in that shop title space, you’ll get found. (this is what it’ll look like)

Click on willowofwonder's link. This is a good example. Most shoppers would not search for "willowofwonder" but they may shop for "scripture art". She put helpful information in her shop title so buyers could find what they are looking for. I hope this helps shoppers find your shop.
