Luke 8:1-3 (NIV)
1 After this, Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The Twelve were with him, 2 and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; 3 Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod's household; Susanna; and many others. These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
Most of the time I’m hearing studies and messages mentioning the Disciples and their many missions, but for some reason it struck me that there were also strong women to help and support those around them. In Luke it mentions how several women helped the Twelve with their own means, but it also brought me to the Proverbs woman, Dorcas, and to Lydia and so many others who spent their lives lending a helping hand.
What a good example of how to be missions driven and to start right from the abundance of the talent that the Lord gives.
 Support, Missions, Talent
In verse three it mentions the order in which these women helped
Support: These women were helping to support
Missions (aries): Them (the Twelve)
Talent: Out of their own means
I, personally, was so affected by the stories of how these women used their hands to work and perfect their craft to glorify the Lord, that it led me to do the same, leading me here among this wonderfully talented group of likeminded Artisans.
I see many talents within this group that give the Glory to Him, I see selfless actions of prayers being lifted up, and so, so many Helping each other within this group and far reaching beyond and outside of this group touching the masses in ways we don’t even know or can even fathom or count.
Spreading the Gospel to the masses and giving Glory to the Lord for all that He provides is a lifelong mission which elicits action for His graciousness towards us.
Like the women mentioned in this verse of Luke I see the same action emulated here.
The stories of their actions all those years ago are still being read and inspiring generations present and future to a call to Missions.
What has inspired you to your call of Missions, whether on your doorstep or to far reaching areas. How do you bless others with your talent?

God Bless your day today,
Julia
