Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecution; at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded.
Hebrews 10:33-35 (NIV)

Today I want to encourage everyone to pray especially for the persecuted church around the world.  So many of our brothers and sisters in Christ suffer through persecution, big or little, every day of their lives.  Some of them even lose their lives because of their faith in Christ.

The Bible tells us to expect persecution if we are God's children, and we are also given many examples of how faithful believers endured, prayed, rejoiced and encouraged each other during times of persecution.  So let us pray for persecuted Christians, that they may take comfort and strength in God's love and sovereignty.  Let us pray that they would continue to serve Christ faithfully, no matter what.  Let us pray for their safety and for them to be a strong witness to those persecuting them.

Thank you for featuring our church welcome sign, what an honor.
I would really like to thank you for the reminder to pray for the Christians that are being persecuted and the people who persecute them. Sometimes you get so wrapped up in everyday life that you forget those who are not as fortunate to live in freedom.
Thank you again,
Kate

Yes, let us pray and offer all those persecuted and wrongly accused. May His blessings rain down upon them and give them strength and hope. Love the beautiful finds and wonderful shops. Adding them to my favorites! Thank you!

Thank you for being a light in a dark world and being an encouragement to all of those around you! Prayer is such a powerful weapon for God's people and I thank you for reminding us and encouraging us all of that. Thank you also for including our photo in your blog of the Ryman. I had no idea of the history behind it until I visited it this past summer. I hope all get encouraged with the story behind the picture. Have a blessed day!
