Introduction
I am a self-taught folk artist. I work on canvas and wood. My favorite medium is acrylic and crackle effect. My subjects are mostly women and angels. I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina on a 1971 Christmas morning.

I discovered art when I was around 8 years old, I grew up in a museum (my mom’s work) surrounded by famous paintings. I started drawing at the age of 10. I studied in a little studio near my house in Buenos Aires where I learned to draw using charcoal.

I love to experiment with mediums, paper, buttons, wood and I also love to create primitive cloth and clay dolls with an antique feeling, boxes and pendants with my art on them. My style is naïve most of the time but I love stepping out and painting my own rendition of some famous renaissance artists. On my paintings I like to reflect childhood memories and nostalgia. I currently live in Katy, Texas with my husband and three daughters.

How did you get your start on Etsy?
I make videos for YouTube where I show people the process of a painting. One of my viewers and an artist also, recommended the site to me. I also noticed that many artists, whose blogs I followed, were selling on Etsy.

What does a typical day look like for you?
My day starts at 7am when my youngest daughter wakes me up. I get my other two girls up and we eat breakfast. We spend some time with God reading our bibles and worshipping. I home school my daughters (10, 6 and 4 years old) so we spend all morning and part of the afternoon doing school work. My husband comes home early most of the time and then takes over. While he makes dinner I will usually go to my art studio, a hideaway room about the master suite, and work. And occasionally I pull a late nighter when everyone is sleeping.

If you could be anywhere in the world for one day, where would it be?
Right now it would be Argentina. I have my mom, dad and sisters there and I miss them a lot.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
Every season brings a new passage; in this time of my life, as a focus on my friendship with Jesus, my favorite verse is John 15:12-17 - “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other”

What is your favorite Etsy item listing to feature?
I like to paint angels a lot so my favorite item listed is a 6”x12” original painting of an angel.

I just loved the story of your life Adriana. I so admire home schooling moms too. There's such a huge investment of yourself in your children and you still carve out a little bit of "mommy time" in your studio, for which we are thankful.

I like that little bible angel best. She looks like she's from Buenos Aires

Hey!
I really like your work and I've been reading your blog for a while now. The favourite item would be the Bible Angel for sure. I love polka dots and her dress is so beautiful! The whole idea of using bible pages with an angel is nice :)

Greetings from springy Finland! Keep up the good job :)

El trabajo de Adriana es maravilloso, no sólo transmite una energía especial sino que tiene su propio estilo y es eso lo que la hace auténtica a ella y a su trabajo. I know what feels when she says that she misses so much her family and that makes her more brave and valuable! I really enjoy her work!
